The Kinark Foundation raises funds in support of the mission
of Kinark Child and Family Services - caring,
helping and healing so children and youth can live socially and emotionally healthy lives.
We also accept applications from other registered charities in Ontario that promote the mental health of children and youth.
Our donors enable us to fund a broad range of initiatives including:
- Services for children and families including education, prevention, respite and treatment programs;
- Research and pilot projects;
- Collaborative community-based projects; and
- Capital and infrastructure (e.g. equipment, building projects).
Projects supported by the Kinark Foundation achieve the following:
- Enhance child development and promote the mental well-being of children and youth;
- Positively impact families;
- Encourage innovation, research and the use of evidence-based practice;
- Create awareness and understanding of children's mental health issues; and
- Build organizational and community capacity to respond to the needs of children and youth with mental health problems and their families.
